Message

Established in July 2020, the NTT Space Environment and Energy Research Laboratory conducts research across a broad spectrum of environment and energy fields, including space-related technologies.
Our group aims to create a sustainable society with no environmental impact by implementing breakthrough innovations for next-generation energy technology . We look forward to applications from those who want to join us in creating that society with our own hands.

Pioneering the Next Generation of Clean Energy through the Power of Waves and Data

Covering about 70% of the Earth's surface, the oceans are a vast treasury of energy. We are focusing on the power of waves and advancing research and development of "data-driven wave-power-generation technology" that utilizes AI, IoT, and simulation technologies. Our goal is to create a new system that generates electricity stably—while coexisting with nature—through observations in real sea areas and wave-condition forecasting by utilizing digital twins.

These initiatives have the potential to create a sustainable and low-environmental-impact energy supply in a manner that contributes to the development of coastal areas, remote islands, and even offshore communities. Join us in exploring the new possibilities for energy born from the fusion of waves and data in the uncharted field of the ocean.
