Embodied Intelligence Research Group

Human cognition can be characterized by its remarkable flexibility, implicitness, and diversity ("implicitness" refers to the fact that significant processing proceeds without awareness and out of voluntary control). We aim at elucidating the nature and mechanisms of those aspects of cognition. Specifically, we focus on mental and physical skills of top athletes, preference and impression of music, and sensory-motor characteristics of developmental disorder.
