    NTTバイオメディカル情報科学研究センタ(BMC)は、ICTを活用したデータ駆動型の医療を創造することをミッションとし、2019年7月1日に5つのNTT内研究所が連携した新たな研究組織として発足しました。BMCは、生体適合性新素材、生体センシング技術、診療情報や行動情報の分析技術などの基礎・応用研究、およびパートナーとのコ・イノベーションを推進します。さらに、海外の研究開発拠点であるNTT Research Inc., 生体情報処理研究所(MEI Labs.)や、NTTライフサイエンス等の事業会社、NTTグループが保有する病院などと協力し、医療健康分野の研究開発を推進します。

    膜たんぱく質をはじめとする生体分子を核とした、からだに優しく、脳とのインターフェイスとなりうる新しい概念のデバイス「ナノバイオデバイス」を提唱し、その実現をめざします。

    当グループでは、微細加工技術や化学合成、科学計算など各分野の手法を用いて、単分子レベルの機能やシナプスなど生体組織の機能を調べ、生体分子と生体組織を核とした新しい概念のデバイスを作り出すことを目標に研究を進めています。現在、細胞膜を形成する脂質分子の流動性とナノバイオデバイスへの応用、多点電極上に成長した脳神経の電気生理学、分子と金属のナノ構造物の制御と物性評価、固体表面への生体分子の固定化と機能評価およびその応用の検討を中心に研究を行っています。また、東レ株式会社と共同でhitoe®を開発し、その応用に向けて研究を進めています。
