    Overview

    We have formalized the practical process for social businesses with the aim of helping companies to develop their businesses to solve social issues. In addition, we have compiled our knowledge into a technical document as “Co-Creation Guidbook for Solving Social Issues”.
    This Guidebook is aiming to make NTT personnel to become capable of implementing social design, and develop human resources who are capable of it, through formalize social design processes as a social design methodology for solving social issues.

    Background / Issues

    Development of social businesses is required in terms of societal demands and opportunities for business development. NTT Group companies (Sales division for public sector, New Business Development Division, etc.) are searching for new business opportunities as social businesses based on recognition of importance of the businesses.
    Social design methodology for "co-creation" between companies and local communities are required to solve complex social issues and develop social businesses. By using the methodology, we could expect to develop ICT businesses and consulting businesses for regional revitalization to solve social issues, and we also could expect to improve of operating effectiveness of the activities.
