Jun Okamoto received B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from the Science University of Tokyo in Japan in 1994 and 1996, respectively. He joined NTT Laboratories in 1996 and has been engaged in the quality assessment of multimedia telecommunication and network performance measurement methods. Currently, he is the Manager of the Communication Traffic Quality and Operation Project in NTT Laboratories. He has been contributing to VQEG (Video Quality Experts Group) since 2004. He received the Telecommunications Advancement Foundation Award in 2009 and the International Telecommunication Union Encouragement Award in Japan in 2010.
