Through research in both computer and data science, NTT Computer & Data Science Laboratories aim to create new values for the people and society by processing data that have been difficult to handle due to the scale and complexity problems.

Recent advances in ICT technology with the concept such as smart world, remote world, and digital twin computing have changed people's lives, society, and industry. Data generated and gathered rapidly and widely from the smart phone and IoT devices will become enormous and have new meanings for our lives. In this situation, efficient data processing will become a major issue for advanced technologies such as AI to function more beneficially.

To realize dramatic scale-up of computing performance, we are engaged in research to renew the control, calculation, and memory mechanism in current Neumann computers, and in research to innovate basic algorithms that can solve more general problems around us and replace current AI. To mine new values from data, we are also dealing with immersive data generation, circulation, and transmission. In addition, we are conducting research of data science that can solve various practical problems in society to create unknown values by processing wide variety of data. Through these researches, we aim to create new values, pioneer the future society, and enrich people's lives by creating innovative technologies that can break the limits of the past.
